WASTE WATER TREATMENT
Heavily loaded waste water can become depleted of nutrients and/or trace elements. Without corrective suppletion, the efficiency of purification will be suboptimal. In highly depleted water, COD removal will be significantly impaired. Other symptoms include excessive foaming, degeneration of granular sludge or active sludge, and even sludge leaching. We work with specialised partners to produce bespoke blends of nutrients and/or trace elements at extremely competitive prices.
Odour control
Our pure calcium nitrate solution is used by clients at various sites to manage odour problems associated with waste water treatment. The presence of nitrate prevents the metabolism of sulphates – the cause of toxic hydrogen sulphide (‘rotten egg gas’) formation. We offer both a 51% pure calcium nitrate solution and a 45% solution for this purpose.
